This afternoon something rather major happened. I experienced my first Tim Tam. For those of you unfamiliar with what I am talking about I suggest you do some research. Or otherwise I would be happy to tell you all about it. Frequently when you ask Australians abroad what they most miss about home they will mention Tim Tams. Some are lucky to live in areas of the globe that sell them at an overpriced Aussie/Kiwi food shop and they do fork out for them because they miss them so. I think I thought they were chocolate which they are but more specifically they are biscuits/cookies. I decided for my first venture in to Tim Tam Land should be a classic one so I went with the original milk chocolate. Many people enjoy them with a hot beverage but I was not in the mood for said hot beverage so the Tim Tam would be going solo. My first instinct when I looked at it was that it reminded me of a Penguin. Upon my first bite my instinct told me that I was correct. This Tim Tam not only looked like a Penguin but tasted of one too just a bit thicker maybe? And well one of the best parts of the Penguin is the cheesy jokes inside the wrapper and this is definitely not part of the Tim Tam package. I think I need to expand my Tim Tam horizon in to other flavours because they do offer that and Penguin certainly does not. One last related note on Tim Tam's is what my oldest dearest (I say oldest it just means I have known her since I was 2) friend Rasha had to say about them (she studied out here for 6 months): buy some double stuff tim tams bite off two opposite corners of a biscuit and dip it in tea or hot chocolate and use it as a straw before throwing it into ur mouth...Now that does sound good! Will keep you posted on my next Tim Tam adventure.

And finally I am seeing 3 apartments tomorrow afternoon and will go to Readings after the 3 to make more appointments for later that day and some for Sunday. Also I have a second interview for paid work at the Comedy Theatre. I wish I could say I am excited but its for telemarketing so not jumping up and down for joy but will take a second interview none the less.
